Welcome Home, Rutgers–Camden Class of 2028!
The Class of 2028 and their families received a warm welcome to the beloved Rutgers–Camden community at the Chancellor’s Welcome and Raptor BBQ, part of a slate of activities ushering new students onto campus over the holiday weekend.
Chancellor Antonio D. Tillis, who earlier in the day helped students' families move them into their residence halls, encouraged the newest Scarlet Raptors to engage with their new academic home. “I want each of you to think about all of the achievements that got you here and to continue aiming high while you are with us. Join groups and clubs as you matriculate to make this experience even more rich,” he said. “We want to make sure this is a welcoming community for all our students.”
The welcome event concluded with a new tradition: a pinning ceremony, where students exchanged color-coded school pins that symbolized their official entry into the Rutgers–Camden community and dedication to their academic careers.
