Chancellor’s Awards for Scarlet Excellence Salute Rutgers–Camden Staff

The annual honors are given to employees with exceptional enthusiasm and commitment to the university’s mission

A festive mood filled the Multi-Purpose Room of the Campus Center at Rutgers University–Camden as faculty and staff came together to recognize the winners of the 2024 Chancellor’s Awards for Scarlet Excellence.

“Our honorees today exhibit exceptional resourcefulness, innovation, imagination, and a deep commitment to our students, faculty, and campus,” said Chancellor Antonio D. Tillis. “On behalf of the Rutgers–Camden community, I want to extend my gratitude for all they do to make our campus a better place.”

Chancellor Tillis emphasized that Rutgers–Camden staff play a vital role in keeping the gears of educational excellence turning. The awards are just one way the university seeks to express gratitude and appreciation for the work of staff members across campus. 

“Our reputation for providing the world-class Rutgers experience with a personal touch is rooted firmly in the dedication and exceptional talent of our employees,” Chancellor Tillis said. “We are extremely fortunate to have a campus filled with committed and creative individuals who regularly help faculty and students achieve and surpass their goals.”

Chancellor Tillis and university leadership also recognized significant employment milestones, offering special recognition to employees who recently reached 10, 20, 30, and 40 years of service to the campus community.
