Admitted Students Day Sees Record Attendance

Rutgers University–Camden welcomed more than 1,600 accepted students and family members to campus for the university’s Admitted Students Day.

Attendees enjoyed a personalized journey inside life on campus, with sessions spotlighting individual majors and colleges (Camden College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business–Camden, and the School of Nursing–Camden), how the university intentionally sets up newly enrolled students for success from their first days on campus, tastes of a diverse region and nation with culinary delights provided for lunch, and more.

“I’ve chosen to go to Rutgers–Camden because it’s close, it’s affordable, and it has the major I want to go into of psychology,” said Jasmine Adelsberger of Moorestown, N.J., who made the short trip from her home to attend Admitted Students Day. “I’m really looking forward to starting all my classes, and the campus looks really pretty.”

Rutgers–Camden has received more than 32,000 undergraduate applications this year. The school has been named a Top 50 Public University and a Top 100 National University by U.S. News & World Report and the most affordable college in New Jersey by Academic Influence.
